Colistin Liquid 

Composition:  each 1 L contains 

• Colistin sulphate (polymyxin E) 120 g 

                        (1 mg equivalent to 20500 IU Means 2,460,000 IU/ ml) 

Indications: 

It is commonly used for gram negative infections especially Salmonella , Colibacillus, Pseudomonas , Shigella , Heamophilus and Aerobacteria in poultry  

Dosage and Administration: 

In drinking water 

• 5-6 mg Colistin sulphate/kg b.w.), for 3-7 days. 
• 41.6 ml-50 ml/1000 kg body weight/3-7 days 
• 0.25 ml /L
