Composition:Each ml solution contains

                    250 mg kanamycin base (as sulphate)

Features of Kanamycin 25 %

• Broad spectrum, bactericidal antibiotic.
• Active against:-
• Gram-positive (Corynebacterium, Staphylococcus)
• Gram-negative bacteria, such as, Enterobacter, E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus and Salmonella.
• Kanamycin inhibits microbial protein synthesis.
• Kanamycin reaches to the blood level very quickly after intramuscular injection (within 30 minutes).
• Kanamycin is bactericidal in low doses, so development of resistance is very slow.  

Indications of Kanamycin 25 %

1. Kanamycin used for treatment of respiratory infections
2. Kanamycin is highly recommended in CRD.
3. Kanamycin  can used for treatment of salmonellosis
4. Kanamycin used for control secondary infections in case of viral disease

Dosage and administration

     In Poultry : 10-25 mg/ kg bwt. By intramuscular or subcutaneous injection
